Our clients often claim that quality improvement within anesthesia services is in fact the key benefit of working with Clinical Colleagues. They see that each month, as we monitor fourteen clinical quality indicators, as well as compliance indicators, that are then analyzed by our Chief Medical Officer, Regional Medical Officers and Director of Regulatory Compliance. They see us looking for every opportunity to assure that quality is maximized in day-to-day operations, and that if any errors are found, a solid solution is identified and implemented, as immediately as possible. They see that in tandem with our on-site Chief of Anesthesia, we review 5 percent or 30 patient charts per month (whichever is greater), to detect and rectify documentation errors, and implement new systems to promote accuracy, moving forward. They see that we engage quality and compliance officers at each hospital, as well as clinical providers, soliciting their input and ideas so that we can generate new performance improvement studies. And collectively, all of these efforts are what lead to a truly high-performing, high-quality, anesthesia service line.
