The Medical Staff Coordinator is vital to CCI’s success and plays a key role in upholding the highest ethical standards in credentialing, practice management and business relationships. This position requires proficiency in coordinating activities across multiple states. CCI executives, the administrative team and client hospital Medical Staff Coordinators rely on the trustworthiness, technical expertise, attention to detail and interpersonal skills of CCI’s Medical Staff Coordinator to ensure the highest level of service in provider credentialing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED.
- At least one year of healthcare credentialing and verification experience.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office & credentialing software.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPMSM – Certified Professional Medical Service Management or
- CPCS – Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist certification through NAMMS- The National Association of Medical Staff Services
Core Duties & Responsibilities

- Works closely with Executive Director, Medical Staff Services to assure well-functioning, timely and compliant credentialing processes.
- Ensures accurate and timely credentialing of assigned provider candidates who will be providing services on behalf of CCI Anesthesia and related entities.
- Works closely with CCI’s Regional Directors of Operations and CCI’s Recruitment staff in follow-up with non-agency candidates, as well as follow-up with locum tenens agencies.
- Maintains knowledge of current credentialing requirements and credentialing timelines for CCI client sites.
- Maintains good working relationships with client Medical Staff Offices (“MSO”) and Credentials Verification Organizations (“CVO”).
- Assists with the maintenance of accurate data and up-to-date credentialing documents in MDStaff, including assisting in acquiring renewal documents.
- Obtains primary source verifications for licenses, insurances and certifications for assigned provider candidates, working closely with CCI’s CCO/RMO to assure that all provider credentials are accurate, compliant with regulatory and hospital requirements and are current and in good standing.
- Assures documents required for billing enrollment are made available to billing companies.
- Responsible for written communications and email follow-up on behalf of CCI.
- Maintains credentialing spreadsheet, updating it daily and ensuring meaningful data is noted for internal and external customers’ needs and requests for information.

- Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to navigate roadblocks to ensure providers are credentialed in time for their projected start dates.

- The highest ethical standards are required to ensure all requirements and standards for compliance and best practice for the industry are met.
- Must have a high degree of personal accountability and initiative.
Work Environment
This is a remote role, so standard home office environment.
Travel
Ability to travel to practice sites, company events and meetings. Travel on average annually would be 2-4 trips.
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $57,000 to $65,000 per year.
