The manager is responsible for the Anesthesia department operations. The manager oversees provider scheduling, payroll, billing, quality, performance and overall operations at the site. The Manager works closely with site leadership (Chief Anesthesiologist and/or Chief CRNA) in providing operational leadership support to the Anesthesia team.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1–3 years of related practice management experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and creating spreadsheets.
- Healthcare billing knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- BA Degree
- Preferred experience with Epic, Medaxion or EMR systems and QGenda or scheduling software.
Core Duties & Responsibilities

- Review, analyze and submit billing data and reports, including reviews, to ensure maximum reimbursement and revenue for the practice.
- Research and provide supporting documentation, promptly respond to follow-up requests from the billing company and collaborate with providers to address and correct any documentation errors.
- Assure all records are complete and included in information submitted to the billing company.
- Review and analyze billing and operational data for accuracy and for developing statistical reports on the practice site(s).
- Input patient data and daily scheduled cases into EMR and other data collection/billing applications as appropriate.
- Work with CCI’s Medical Staff Services department to obtain billing enrollment documents and documents required for CCI’s provider database, as well as expediting reappointment packets.
- Lead recruitment for site visits by collaborating with recruits, creating detailed schedules, itineraries and site information, and guiding the visit to ensure providers have an exceptional interview experience tailored to their needs, aimed at attracting them to the practice.
- Lead and support onboarding & scheduling of new providers, residents and students for orientation, EMR training, badges, scrubs, locker access, orientation folder compilation, onboarding paperwork completion, etc.
- Work with CCI Medical Staff Services and/or the hospital office to help facilitate credentialing and privileging of incoming providers or for providers who need to re-credential, including records of ACLS, PALS, BLS, certifications, TB assessment, DEA, references Malpractice insurance etc.
- Communicate urgent operational issues to the Regional Director of Operations (RDO) or Vice President, Operations when RDO is not available, keeping them informed when necessary.
- Develop the yearly, monthly and daily schedule for assigning providers to rooms, determining gaps in coverage, leaves of absence and vacation coverage, updating QGenda schedules and communicating them out. Works closely with site leadership to gather leads, referrals and locum companies while working closely with the Staffing & Recruitment department to fill in gaps in the schedule. Tracks provider time off.
- Develop and maintain a successful working relationship with key departments within the health system and CCI to help accomplish anesthesia objectives. This includes the C-Suite of the hospital.
- Develop and maintain records & files of all active providers, historical records and anesthesia policies adhering to regulatory requirements, site of service and CCI requirements. Is prepared to lead and support file audits or regulatory audits.
- Provide miscellaneous support as the sole on-site non-clinical employee, including scheduling provider classes, preparing meeting agendas, serving as both a meeting lead and minute-taker, ensuring OB and OR photo blocks are documented and signed, and gathering and assisting with the completion of benefit enrollment and new hire forms.
- Is responsible for working with HR and/or Medical Affairs when there are performance, attendance or clinical competency and quality issues. Drive and reinforce a positive and safe culture by addressing performance or behavioral issues, while implementing best practices.
- Serve as a liaison between providers for a multitude of entities and departments with a vested interest or role in the success of the practice.
- Participate and help lead staff meetings and develop agendas to ensure the department, CCI and Hospital site of services objectives are communicated, reinforced and presented as a unified front for providers.
- Report site metrics and operations regularly to the C-Suite, Operations leadership and the provider team. Drive and support efforts to improve deficient areas.

- Must have a high degree of personal accountability and initiative.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the site Chief, clinical staff and CCI RDO and/or VP of Ops.
Work Environment
Hybrid- remote. Standard home office and typical healthcare office environment.
Work Locations
Hospital location(s) and the possibility for some hybrid remote work.
Travel
3–5 times a year for company meetings and events is estimated, but the frequency of travel overall will be based on business needs. If the Anesthesia practice has multiple sites within the geographic area, then regular travel to those sites is required. For travel overall will be based on business needs.
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $125,000 per year.
