History
CCI Anesthesia (CCI) is privately owned by Kurt Zumwalt with no private equity investors and was founded in 2004 with two goals in mind: (1) build a customer-focused business model for anesthesia practice management, and (2) create long-term partnerships with health care organizations by boosting operational efficiency, reducing costs and improving quality. Over the years, CCI has grown to include a team of physician leaders and business professionals who are dedicated to providing prompt, personalized service to each client hospital and clinical provider, every day.
Today, CCI provides anesthesia management services at hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers nationwide. We partner with a variety of not-for-profit and for-profit organizations including Community Health Systems, LifePoint Hospitals, Catholic Health Initiatives, Saint Luke’s Health System, Quorum Health Corporation, and Quorum Health Resources. Our professional team has extensive experience identifying synergies within anesthesia departments and across multi-hospital systems and has reduced anesthesia costs by up to $1.5 million for our clients. Our comprehensive approach to managing an organization’s anesthesia service focuses on key areas such as quality management and compliance, cost of services, department leadership and operational efficiency. We believe that the anesthesia service model ultimately centers around providing the best care possible to the patient.
